In the centennial year of Murray Bookchin's birth (New York, January 14, 1921 - Burlington, July 30, 2006 ) the Centro Studi Libertari / Archivio Giuseppe Pinelli, in collaboration with elèuthera editrice, presents the biographical documentary "Beyond Domination and Hierarchy, Libertarian Practices for an Ecological Society", made by Alex Pasco featuring the narrating voices of Debbie Bookchin and Paul McIsaac.
Born into a family of Russian immigrants of Jewish descent who emigrated to escape religious persecution, extreme poverty and tsarist repression, Murray Bookchin would become one of the most significant left-libertarian thinkers of the 20th century, bequeathing us his powerful ecolibertarian vision of thought and action, critical lucidity and prefigurative imagination.
