Interview with Fabio Santin (with english subtitles), graphic designer, held March 29th, 2022.
Fabio Santin was a key person for the organization of "Venezia '84": he was responsible for the event’s the graphic design, from the logo and the banners, to the exhibition venues.
For the exhibition "Art and anarchy" Santin also liaised with artists and art critics, which led to the participation of Enrico Baj, Arturo Schwarz, Benito Recchilongo and Pietro Ferrua. The pair of artistic expression and revolutionary movement, addressed in Venice, continues to be a core interest of Santin. After countless events and intellectual explorations, the magazine "ApARTe. Irregular materials of libertarian culture" was founded in 2000.
Santin was also instrumental to the creation of the photographic book "Ciao anarchici", a collection of images of ‘Venice 1984’. Santin designed the layout and selected the images.
In this interview Santin also remembers Marina Padovese, who curated the concerts and the artistic performances for “Venice 1984”.
