Bortolotti Attilio

Attilio Bortolotti / Art Bartell (Codroipo 19 settembre 1903 - Toronto 10 febbraio 1995)

Nasce in Friuli, quindicesimo figlio, su diciotto, di Maria Pittana e Luigi Bortolotti, piccolo imprenditore edile che al contempo alleva bachi da seta. Vive in diretta la tragedia della prima guerra mondiale e diventa per il resto della sua vita un acceso antimilitarista. Nel 1920 emigra in Nord America e lì ben presto aderisce a un anarchismo che non è solo una visione politica, ma anche una scelta etica che segnerà tutto il suo percorso esistenziale.

Colombo Eduardo

Eduardo Raul Colombo (Quilmes, Argentina, 1929 – Paris, France, 2018) was a physician and psychoanalyst, and very early on began the anarchist militancy that would constitute the salient feature of his entire existential path.

Already in the 1940s, whilst still a student, he joined the FORA (Federación Obrera Regional Argentina), participating in its anarcho-syndicalist struggles throughout the country, even during the recurring periods of dictatorship that marked Argentina’s history.

Berti Giampietro N.

Giampietro ‘Nico’ Berti (Bassano del Grappa, Vicenza, Italy, 1943) joined the anarchist movement at a young age, coming into contact with Amedeo Bertolo and the Milanese group Gioventù Libertaria [Libertarian Youth] in the early 1960s. Shortly after, in 1965, he contributed to the birth of the Federated Anarchist Youth Groups (GGAF) which became the Federated Anarchist Groups (GAF) in 1970. In 1969 he co-founded with Elis Fraccaro the Nestor Makhno group in Venice-Marghera, also affiliated to the GAF.

My initial contacts with the underground CNT came through the RENFE railway workers when I was 16 years old, at the Traction Service shop at the Barcelona Electric Engine depot, where I had started work as an apprentice in October 1939 just a week before my 14th birthday. I received my social and political education from the staff of that Engine Depot, influenced by the majority of the workers who belonged to the CNT.
